Hey Ken, I get you are annoyed, but I’m not sure what you were attempting to accomplish with this. Most people don’t know the rules of debate. It is obvious from the responses so far that logic escapes the people who are annoying you.
I would argue the deflection is the other way -- January 6th is being used to distract from the fact that Biden is in over his head. Even CNN and others are acknowledging the Carter comparisons.
January 6th was awful and those involved should be punished. Harshly. And I understand that the DOJ has been actively prosecuting this and the Courts have been handing out punishments. But how can the House justify their made-for-TV event while not considering a bill to protect Supreme Court Justices when one could have been killed but for the fortunate fact that the shooter turned himself in beforehand? Instead, Shumer and others keep telling the Court that it will "Pay the price" for their rulings. And I guarantee you that those on the fringe have discussed the fact that if the next one doesn't turn himself in, Biden and the Senate get to bring the balance back to 5-4.
